It is an old and equally wise saying which states
that - united we stand, divided we fall. In fact this old axiom
applies equally well to the modern setup of a data center. If you
are getting confused about what is being talked about, let me be
clearer about it. Actually I am referring to the innovative concept
which is being used in the data center industry wherein the experts
get together to discuss on the problems and challenges faced by
the industry in general which currently do not have a very satisfactory
solution or have solutions that can be improvised upon.
Since cooling is one of the major problems associated
with a data center, it should not come as a surprise that this concept
is also on the list of topics which would be debated in a conference
in Phoenix on the 17th of this month. The topic for discussion related
to cooling would be - is it possible to have airless data centers?
Many bigwigs of the representing companies would deliver
their own thoughts which are as a result of their experience within
their own companies, R&D and creativity. This would certainly
bring together a pool of idea which certainly could lead to one
or the other idea being caught and developed further. Hence it is
just like pooling together the brain banks of several organizations
in the hope of arriving at a solution to the problem which is not
limited to any particular organization, region or sector but is
literally threatening the very life and planet on which we live
and survive.
