APC partners with Datapod for the latest entry to the data center container list

You have heard about them, read up on them and seen them in pictures and video throughout the internet and with exception to some of the biggest data center players in the world, some of which produce the containers, you may have never seen one in a parking lot or in a building.

The market for containerized data centers is questionable at the moment. If we place containerized data centers onto Gartner’s Hype Cycle chart it is likely that containerized data centers are sitting in the trough of disillusionment.

That said there continues to be news about new design and projects that revolve around containerized data centers. The latest entry to the data center container list is a new partnership between well known APC, a Schneider Electric Company and Australian based Datapod.
