Say MAA and save energy

Here are some facts for you – Data centers are consuming energy and this consumption doubles every 5 years. In just 1 more year – by 2010, 3% of power consumption in the USA will be from data centers. 50% of the overall IT budget by end of 2009 will be in power costs.

According to the EPA, companies can save up to 4 Billion dollars in a year by just managing data centers more effectively.
......... and yet .....

Many data center managers don't know how to manage their data centers effectively. A recent McKinsey report titled, "Data Centers – How to cut emissions and costs" shows that the average data center uses only 6% of its servers and only 50% of its facilities.
